User Action

this is a unique offering from Moosend. You now have the option to integrate your CRM with our email platform, in order to track users not only according to their actions on your newsletter, but even according to their attributes, demographics or other actions like specific purchases, from your CRM system. So here you are given the option to track users that their action either “is”, “is not”, “contains”, “does not contain”, “starts with”, “does not start with”, “ends with”, “does not end with” a specific record or entry in your CRM system. You can use this option to have a complete picture and control of the repicients that have a specific action on your email newsletter and at the same time they have made a specific purchase, to narrow the target audience of your next email campaign.

Custom Field

Here, the one under the other, you will see the names of the Custom Fields you have set for your mailing list (apart from the email address which is a default field) for instance “gender”, “city” etc. So now you can make a selection with users that are in a specific category, and track those for instance that are “men” and by adding more criteria from the other mentioned above, they have clicked on a specific link etc. Select the Custom Field you wish, then choose either “is”, “is not”, “contains”, “does not contain”, “starts with”, “does not start with”, “ends with”, “does not end with”, “is empty” or “is not empty”. In the next field, write the selection you prefer, e.g. “men”.

Field from another mailing list

Let’s say you use multiple mailing lists, but not all of them have completed information on your recipients. By having an email address as a primary key, here you can have the option to create a segmentation on members of a list, with information that exist in another list in your account. After all, the email address is the key information, and around it all other attributes are formed. So now we read these attributes, across lists. By choosing it, a new window appears that shows you the options you have for segmentation filtering from other mailing lists. So, in case you are in the Segmentation of the Mailing List A, you can now select to track users that their Date Added in List A is before, or after etc, and at the same time they have a specific Custom Field in List B.

In every case, you can see the number of the recipients in the segment written at the top right hand, you can preview them, you can also export them in an Excel file, or save the segment for later use. Moreover, by Adding More Criteria, you can expand the selection and narrow your target audience even more.

The possibilities you have with Moosend’s powerful Segmentation tool, give you the strength to have a complete knowledge of the habits of your email recipients and customers, and to develop a behavioural strategy on your Email Marketing actions. We believe that you have a strong tool in your hands, to help you deploy your strategy with minimum risks and great confidence. Good luck!
